Rebranding Saavi

Saavi Services for the Blind is a non-profit organization that provides non-visual training to blind individuals across Arizona. Throughout my years working as the lead designer at Saavi, I gained a deep understanding of their mission, philosophy, and values, which enabled me to create an inclusive and impactful rebrand. I focused on integrating Braille into every aspect of the rebrand, from web design and video content to typography for print materials, labels on wayfinding designs, and more. This approach demonstrates how simple it can be to incorporate inclusivity into design.

 

At Saavi Services for the Blind, they dedicate time to empowering their students to gain the confidence needed for an independent life. I spent years documenting student stories through photography and filming their accomplishments for social media, fundraising materials, grant applications, and updating Saavi’s website. Saavi Services for the Blind has been a place where people and design can be positive, inclusive, and unafraid to think outside the box.
